This flanged ball valve is identified by pneumatic operation and an extended stem for a discharge arrangement. The extension changes the mechanical layout between valve and actuator; it does not by itself establish a pressure rating, temperature limit or material specification.
Confirm the discharge connection and installed geometry
Provide the vessel or pipe connection drawing, flange standard and facing, installation length, required extension length and measurement datums. Check actuator orientation, support, nearby equipment and removal space. Do not determine interchangeability from nominal size or a photograph alone.
Specify the pneumatic duty
State the available air supply, required opening and closing action, loss-of-air position and whether position feedback or other accessories are needed. Confirm the actual actuator arrangement and required torque against differential pressure, seat friction and operating frequency. An extended stem is not a control-performance or thermal-isolation certificate.
Match the valve to the actual medium
Supply fluid composition, solids content if any, normal and exceptional pressure and temperature, and the required isolation or control duty. Confirm body, ball, stem, seats, packing and seals separately. The product name does not promise suitability for every corrosive, abrasive or viscous medium.
Documents to agree before supply
Request an approved assembly drawing, connection and extension dimensions, material list, actuator/accessory list and the agreed inspection and leakage-test requirements. Installation, commissioning and maintenance must follow the supplied instructions and site isolation, depressurization and energy-control procedures.
Frequently asked questions
How should I specify the extension length?
Provide the required length together with measurement datums, connection drawings, actuator position and available space. A length without reference points is not enough to confirm the assembly.
Will the valve automatically close when air is lost?
Specify the required valve position on loss of air, then select the actuator and accessories to provide that response.
Does a longer stem increase the pressure or temperature rating?
No rating can be inferred from stem length alone. Confirm the complete valve materials, seals, pressure-temperature documents and the actual extension design.
Prepare a quotation for this valve
For an extended-stem discharge arrangement, supply the vessel interface and length datums before requesting a replacement.
- Geometry
Vessel or pipe drawing, flange details, extension length and reference points, actuator position and support.
- Process duty
Fluid, solids, temperature, pressure, differential pressure and required opening/closing frequency.
- Pneumatic action
Available air supply, required loss-of-air position, control signal and feedback/accessory needs.
Documents to agree before supply
- Approved discharge/extension assembly drawing
- Valve and actuator/accessory material and identification schedule
- Agreed operating limits, fail action and inspection requirements
Ask which documents are available for the offered configuration and agree their scope before supply. A catalogue picture is not a certified drawing or test report.
