Does mesh count define the hole size?
No. Specify the required opening and units, wire diameter or perforated plate, screen material and effective area. Equal mesh counts can have different openings.
Can I open the cover for cleaning while the line is pressurised?
No. Isolate, depressurise, drain and make the medium safe before opening. A fitted blowdown valve does not authorise removing the cover under pressure.
What should I send for a quotation?
Product link, quantity, pipe size, flange standard and face, fluid and concentration, flow and viscosity, operating and design conditions, solids, filtration requirement and maintenance space.
Documents to request
Request the configuration-specific outline drawing, materials list, screen or basket specification, pressure-temperature limits, installation instructions and agreed inspection documents. If a file is not available, request it in the enquiry; a product photograph is not a substitute for an approved drawing.
