This three-piece forged metal-seated ball valve is listed with threaded, socket-weld or butt-weld end arrangements, subject to confirmation of the supplied configuration.

Metal seating is not an unrestricted temperature rating
Check the actual body, ball, seat, packing, end connection and pressure-temperature limits together. Forging or metal seating alone does not prove a particular allowable pressure or temperature, and maxima from different configurations must not be combined.
Confirm the end connection before selecting a replacement
For threaded ends, specify the thread system and matching dimensions. For socket-weld or butt-weld ends, provide the pipe specification and end-preparation requirements. Do not use a flanged or wafer-valve parameter table for these connections.
Verify sealing and optional safety features separately
State the required leakage and test conditions. Coating, surface treatment, fire-safe qualification, anti-static construction, stem retention and locking devices must be checked against the offered configuration and documentation, not assumed from the product name.
Quotation checklist
Provide the medium and composition, solids content, working temperature and pressure, maximum differential pressure, size, pipe connection, operating frequency and sealing requirements. Confirm materials, ratings, operation and applicable standards in the approved drawings and order.
Buyer questions
Can I use this metal-seated valve at 800 degrees?
For high-temperature duty, provide the design and operating conditions and request the pressure-temperature limits for the selected body, seat, packing and connection.
Does a forged body guarantee a higher pressure rating?
No. Use the rating and temperature limits of the actual design and materials. The manufacturing method alone is not a pressure rating.
What should I send to check a threaded or welded replacement?
Send the old valve identification, pipe and connection dimensions, service conditions and required sealing performance. Specify the thread system or welding-end details rather than nominal pipe size alone.
Prepare a quotation for this valve
For a forged metal-seated ball valve, define the actual end connection and sealing duty before comparing quotations.
- Pipe interface
Thread system or welding-end detail, pipe specification and installation length.
- Service
Medium/composition, solids, normal/upset pressure and temperature, differential pressure and cycling.
- Sealing and operation
Required leakage/test conditions, seat/coating materials, operator and any separately verified safety feature.
Documents to agree before supply
- Approved threaded/socket-weld/butt-weld configuration drawing
- Material, seat/packing and pressure-temperature schedule
- Agreed leakage criteria and any specifically requested qualification evidence
Ask which documents are available for the offered configuration and agree their scope before supply. A catalogue picture is not a certified drawing or test report.
