Construction and installation
The rising stem and knife gate move linearly under the electric actuator. Allow space for the rising stem, full gate travel and actuator maintenance.
Operating configuration
On-off service covers opening, closing and position confirmation. Intermediate positioning or continuous control requires a suitable actuator and a review of the valve under the actual fluid, differential pressure and solids conditions. The word intelligent does not establish a control specification.
Actuation and service
Power supply, control signal, position feedback, travel limits and overload protection depend on the selected actuator. Bus communication, diagnostics and emergency actions are configuration-specific, not standard functions of every unit. State the required behaviour after power loss in the enquiry.
Enquiry and acceptance
Provide fluid and solids properties, temperature, pressure and shut-off differential, pipe size, connections, operating frequency, control requirements and installation space. Confirm the actuator model, wiring diagram, travel and limit settings and acceptance requirements before supply.
