JIS 10K Wafer Check Valve SCS13/SCS14
This wafer check-valve series fits between mating pipe flanges to limit reverse flow. The existing H71W-10K reference sheet lists 40A–200A, SCS13/SCS14 body and disc materials, and 304/316 stainless-steel springs. Select the material combination for the service.
Operation and installation
Forward differential pressure opens the disc against the closing spring and other resistance. The spring assists closure as forward flow falls or reverse differential pressure develops; it does not actively open the disc. A conventional manual, electric or pneumatic actuator is not required.
For replacement, check nominal size, mating JIS 10K flanges, face-to-face length L, flow direction and disc clearance. Follow the instructions for the selected size and orientation rather than assuming unrestricted horizontal or vertical installation. Isolate, depressurize and drain before maintenance.
Reference face-to-face lengths
Values are from the existing H71W-10K sheet linked by the associated site. They are series-selection references, not a manufacturing drawing or a pressure-temperature rating. The sheet lists JIS B 2071, JIS B 2220 and JIS B 2003, with the historical DIN 3202-K4 length designation.

Purchasing questions
Is JIS 10K interchangeable with PN16 or Class 150?
No fixed equivalence is established. Do not interpret JIS 10K as a universal 1.6 MPa working-pressure allowance; check flange compatibility and the selected valve rating at the operating temperature.
What is the maximum operating temperature?
The original sheet gives no complete-valve temperature range or pressure-temperature curve. No generic 200°C limit is assigned here. Supply the medium and operating temperature so the actual sealing and spring configuration can be checked.
What information is needed to replace an existing valve?
Provide size, pressure class, flange standard, face-to-face length, installation direction and service conditions. Include nameplate and site photographs where available; choose SCS13 or SCS14 for the actual medium.
