Main product and other material options
The main product is the duplex 2205 flanged ball valve, retaining the published 1.4462 identification. Other body configurations in 304 (CF8) or 316L (CF3M) are optional according to the order. They are alternatives, not equivalents of 2205 or simultaneous materials of one body.
Cast and forged designations
Different standards and product forms cannot be treated as unconditional equivalents. Do not assign F51, 4A or another specific body designation without the selected drawing and material certificate. List the body, ball, stem, seat and packing materials separately.
Service limits and corrosion
Flange Class is not a constant working pressure. Ratings depend on the material, temperature and complete assembly. Check each optional material configuration for the actual fluid, pressure and temperature; the duplex name alone does not guarantee suitability for every chloride, seawater or acid service.
Purchase and replacement checks
Confirm size, flange facing and drilling, face-to-face length, seats, operator and acceptance tests for the offered configuration. For replacement, provide the existing drawing and operating conditions rather than relying on generic size or temperature ranges.
Enquiry and technical documents
Provide fluid composition, normal and maximum pressure and temperature, flow, size, connections and operating requirements. Verify the selected data sheet, assembly drawing, material documents and agreed tests; do not transfer ratings from a different product.
